How You Can Help End Homelessness With Just an Email: Ask the Housing Authority to Amend their Plan

EDIT: Please direct your messages to the HOUSING AUTHORITY, not the COUNTY.

Our local Housing Authority is considering allocating 30% of turnover vouchers for chronic homelessness. But we need your help in asking them to amend their Moving to Work Plan! Please consider sending a quick email in support of Housing 1000’s efforts to house vulnerable chronically homeless folks in our community.

The deadline for submitting comments on the plan is March 23, 2012.

Comments must be submitted in one of the following ways:

By email: to Ron Marsh at ronm@hacsc.org or
By mail: Attn: Ron Marsh, Administrative Assistant
Housing Authority of the County of Santa Clara
505 W. Julian Street
San Jose, CA 95110

Or at the public hearing:

A public hearing regarding the Draft 2013 Moving to Work (MTW) Annual Plan will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. at 505 West Julian St, San Jose. Anyone who wishes to comment on the plan will have an opportunity to speak at the hearing.

We hope to see you there!

About K.A. Erickson

I worked with Housing 1000 (http://www.housing1000sv.org/) from August 2011 until July of 2012 as an Americorps VISTA member. I am the ghost of Katherine past! I wrote a couple interviews to post automatically even after I left--from beyond the grave, as it were. ;) My current blog talks about fiction writing, world travel and other adventures: http://feistynotes.wordpress.com/
